I saw Kick Ass. It was a lot of fun. The soundtrack is great fun. One of the great things about this movie is you don't feel as though you are watching something that is straining to go on in the end and it still does not cut short on the excitement. I have no problem with the Hit Girl. She was awesome and I really believe that if it was Hit Boy it would not have been such a big deal. The audience realizes that it is not appropriate for a child to kill people, it isn't ok for adults either, the movie makes it clear that she feels it is a game. Big Daddy comes off as crazy, and his training of Hit Girl is not looked at as a good thing by anyone who knows about it. The "realistic" violence was still very cartoonish. (I think that once you have since History of Violence most things pail in comparison to the scene with the guy getting shot in the head.) The sex scene may have been my favorite thing about the movie. It was so realistic that it was funny. This is not a movie for kids, but rated "R" movies usually aren't. I really really liked it! 4 out of 5
